Dr. Richard Moskowitz, M.D.

Dr. Richard Moskowitz received his BA from Harvard in 1959 and his MD from New York University School of Medicine in 1963. After a Graduate Fellowship in Philosophy at the University of Colorado, he interned at St. Anthony?s in Denver, and has practiced general family medicine since obtaining his license in 1967.

He has attended approximately 700 home births, studied acupuncture with Sensei M. Nakazono in New Mexico, and used natural therapies more or less exclusively since 1970. He has practiced homeopathic medicine since 1974, studying with Prof. George Vithoulkas in Greece, Dr. Rajan Sankaran in India, and a number of other teachers.

In addition to lecturing widely and teaching courses and seminars, he has written many articles and book reviews on homeopathy and related topics in medicine, including ?Homeopathic Reasoning (1980),? ?The Case Against Immunizations (1983),? ?Beyond the Malpractice Crisis (1988), ? ?Vaccination: a Sacrament of Modern Medicine (1991),? ?Childhood Ear Infections (1992),? ?An Introduction to Homeopathy (1995),? ?Why I Became a Homeopath (1996),? ?Plain Doctoring (1997),? and ?Innovation and Fundamentalism in Homeopathy (2002)?.

His first book Homeopathic Medicines for Pregnancy and Childbirth (North Atlantic, 1991) is still in print. His latest book is Resonance: The Homeopathic Point of View (Xlibris 2001) a treatise for the general reader.

Dr. Moskowitz has been a member of the American Institute of Homeopathy since 1978, and has served on the Board of the National Cancer for Homeopathy from 1980?87, and as its president in 1985-86. He is 64 years old, married, with two grown children and lives and works in the Boston area.
