~ Topic Discussed - ”Childhood Vaccinations and Juvenile-Onset (Type-1) Diabetes” by Harris Coulter, Ph.D.
At the hearings, Dr. Coulter reported the following...
“…several of the vaccines administered for the disease of childhood have been implicated in the causation of diabetes.”
“Physicians as early as 1949 called attention to low blood glucose in children who had severe reactions to the pertussis vaccine.”
Two German researchers, Hennessen and Quast, found in 1979 that 59 out of 149 children who manifested adverse reactions to the pertussis vaccine developed symptoms of hypoglycemia.”
“ The MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine, especially its mumps and rubella components, has been implicated in the causation of Type-I diabetes.”
“ Little research exists on vaccination and autoimmunity…. Such vaccines as influenza, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, rabies, MMR, tetanus and oral polio have all been linked with autoimmune diseases such as reactive arthritis, thrombocytopenia purpura, and lupus.”
May 18, 1999 - Hearings were held on “Hepatitis B Vaccine: Helping or Hurting Public Health,” held by the Criminal Justice, Drug Policy & Human Resources Subcommittee of the Committee on Government Reform in the U.S. House of Representatives
~ Statements submitted by Jane Orient, M.D. ...
“For most children, the risk of a serious vaccine reaction may be 100 times greater than the risk of hepatitis B.”
“Dr. Classen testified concerning his opinion that hepatitis B vaccine could precipitate diabetes mellitus.”
“Hepatitis B vaccine as a cause of sudden infant death has not been ruled out.”
~ Association of American Physicians & Surgeons (AAPS) opposes federal mandates for vaccines, on principle, on the grounds that they are:
1. An unconstitutional expansion of the power of the federal government.
2. An unconstitutional delegation of power to a public-private partnership.
3. An unconstitutional and destructive intrusion into the patient-physician and parent-child relationships.
4. A violation of the Nuremberg Code in that they forced individuals to have medical treatment against their will, or participate in the functional equivalent of a vast experiment without fully informed consent.
5. A violation of rights to free speech and to the practice of one’s religion (which may require one to keep oath).
AAPS would specifically oppose the campaign for universal immunization against hepatitis B, even if the above did not apply, because the safety of vaccine is in question.
April 6, 2000 - Congressional Hearing, U.S. House of Representatives, Government Reform Committee on ”Autism: Present Challenges, Future Needs, Why the Increase Rates?”
~ At this hearing Dr. Andrew Wakefield, Dr. Vijendra K. Singh, reported the scientific research that they have done personally is showing a connection between MMR and autism. Dr. Singh mentioned at the hearing how easy the scientific research is to test and is amazed that NIH or CDC have not been reporting the connection of MMR to autism.”
~ On June 7, 2003, Raphaele & Michael Horwin, requested a hearing on Simian Virus 40 (SV40), which is found in the polio vaccine and its connection to cancer: “Letter to Demand a Congressional Investigation and Hearing on the Introduction of Simian Virus 40 (SV40), a Cancer-Causing Monkey Virus, into the American Population From Contaminated Polio Vaccines”
